About Me

Not many years ago, I owned my own retail boutique store, called the "RUSTY PLUM", which began as a retail boutique, offering various home decor and gifts, specializing in a line of Cottage style furniture that I designed.

Unavoidable circumstances forced me to give up my store and I began working in management and visual display for a large retail store.  Currently I am a Realtor, who missed creativity in my work, so I recently obtained my ASP/IAHSP (Accredited Staging Professional) designation!  I have also begun the process of working on my hours to earn the Professional Organizer Accreditation.

I am the Mother of 6 children (three of which are TRIPLET girls), and step-mother to 4 children.  I have lived in Arizona for the past 25+ years, but travel between there and Canada because my husband lives in Calgary.  (Bright side:  I have two homes to "stage"!)

I am all about furnishing my home with anything that I can refurbish, renovate, redecorate, fix up or embellish. I love to paint, wallpaper, refinish furniture, and build small projects.

I am "way" into "thrifting", and my favorite places to shop are: Goodwill, thrift and consignment stores and garage sales. Something that began from necessity, has now turned into a passion, and I get a thrill from purchasing small treasures for next to nothing, then using my creativity to re-do, alter or fix these objects.

I'd like to see a re-launch of "THE RUSTY PLUM" store online or at a retail location someday, but for now it has evolved into a Professional Home Staging and Organizing business.
